Requirements

Who We’re Looking For: 

  • Proven leadership experience in early childhood education — 3+ years preferred 
  • Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills paired with a passion for children and families 
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment 
  • A hands-on leader who’s ready to jump in wherever needed
  • Can pass a background check, have a high school diploma or GED and experience in a licensed childcare center, and one of the following qualifications: an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), a Child Development Associate (CDA), a Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in ECE, have completed a 40-hour director training course, or hold a Paraprofessional Certificate. Knowledge of USDA, GA Pre-K, and GA CAPS is highly preferred!

Responsibilities

Your Role as School Director: 

You’re the heart and soul of your school. You’ll lead by example, creating a warm, inclusive environment where staff, parents, and children feel valued and respected. Your top priority? Ensuring safety, health, and well-being through clear protocols and hands-on leadership. 

You’ll drive enrollment growth, craft engaging activities that spark curiosity and a love of learning, and manage the day-to-day demands of running your school with confidence and pride. Supported by a dedicated team, you’ll steer your center toward success while nurturing the growth of children and educators alike. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead and inspire a talented team of educators, fostering collaboration and a positive culture 
  • Implement and maintain health, safety, and licensing standards that keep kids safe and happy 
  • Strategically grow enrollment through effective marketing and community outreach 
  • Manage daily school operations, from staffing and budgeting to parent communications and record-keeping 
  • Cultivate an environment rich with learning opportunities, special events, and joyful experiences 
  • Serve as the face of your school — building strong relationships with families and community partners
